Ian Molloy

Ian Molloy is a Research Staff Member in the Information Security Group at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. His primary research is on the application of machine learning and data mining to problems in identity management and insider threats, privacy, access control, applied cryptography, and general problems in security. Ian received his Ph.D. on the topic of role mining, modeling, and analytics from Purdue University in 2010 working under Dr. Ninghui Li in the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security. Currently, Ian is working on role mining and risk management in access control policies, usage monitoring for insider threats, and information leakage.
