James Kozloski

Principal Research Scientist and Senior Manager

James Kozloski is a principal research scientist and senior manager at IBM. As a neuroscientist, he collaborates with researchers worldwide in the field of computational neuroscience, modeling brain function, from synaptic plasticity in neural circuits to whole neural tissues, using IBM’s Cloud and supercomputers. He invents in the area of neurotechnology and cognitive interfaces, and developed the Model Graph Simulator, a high performance computing tool for detailed modeling and simulation of large scale networks – from neural tissue anatomy and physiology to machine learning components. As manager of Multiscale Computational Modeling, Kozloski oversees efforts to merge AI and biophysiological models of heart, brain, and spinal cord. He has delivered solutions to pharma and brain disease research foundations from this broad effort to transform quantitative systems pharmacology.
