Louis Mandel

Research Staff Member

Louis Mandel is a research staff member in the IBM AI Programming Models group. He received his PhD in computer science from Pierre et Marie Curie University and did a postdoc at the Verimag Lab and at Inria Rocquencourt. He was tenured associate professor Paris-Sud University and then on secondment at École normale superieure, and Collège de France. He has worked in several areas of programming languages, software engineering and AI.

As part of the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab, he is particularly focusing on the development probabilistic programming languages.
