Ramesh Raskar

Ramesh Raskar is an associate professor at the MIT Media Lab. Raskar focuses on using machine learning and imaging for health and sustainability through multi-disciplinary research in sensors and health-tech, automating machine learning, and geomaps and autonomous mobility. Recent research includes cameras to see around corners beyond the line of sight, health diagnostics devices that are being used in 90+ countries, and distributed computing for population health via automated and privacy-aware machine learning. Raskar has worked on special research projects at Google [X], Facebook, Apple and co-founded/advised several startups including REDX.io, a platform for young innovators to explore AI-for-Impact. Raskar earned his PhD from the University of North Carolina.
