Who they work with
Bo Wu is a research scientist at MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab. He conducts research and applications in deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning. Recent research topics include temporal, neuro-symbolic, visual, linguistic learning, forecasting and reasoning. Prior to that, he worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University. He received his Ph.D. from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Computer Science. He organized SMP Challenge at ACM Multimedia, a series of competitions for social media prediction.
He is serving (or has served) as an Area Chair of ACM Multimedia, a Senior Program Committee (SPC) member of AAAI, IJCAI. He received the IBM Research Level-A Accomplishment Award 2021, ACL Best Demo Paper Award 2020, Popularity Prediction Challenge 2020 (Top1), Alibaba Global Fashion AI Challenge 2018 (Top3), etc.
